Eikjuvogur was built in the 1950s and is characterized by a fragmented building structure. This was the starting point for the new design of an apartment building consisting of three apartments. In order to preserve the character of the area, the permitted building mass was divided into two free-standing buildings, which together form exciting outdoor spaces. In the building facing the street there is a residential unit on two floors, while in the rear area two apartments are spread over two floors, with the upper apartment being accessed via an outside staircase. All apartments have a local ventilation system with heat recovery.
